I'm in the Toki Pona group too. It is a fairly active list,
enough so that I have it sent in "digest" mode because I'm
mainly just a lurker there.
No, you can't count on member****p lists even without spammer
accounts. They give numbers, but those numbers don't show who's
lurking, who's active, or who joined a long time ago and lost
interest. The only way to really see is to join the list and
see how many are actually posting, and what types of posts.
