I think the club is still with us. When I was a child I would at times
speak that way just for the fun of it. Liz, a girl with the same last
name as me was who was 6 when I was 8, would join in too. At times we
would have to think long and hard on how to say all that stuff with
just words that had just one beat to them. But yet, in this way or in
that way, our speech did not seem real.
