I have never had a problem with 'conlang' as a abbreviation for
'constructed language', whatever be the purpose of the constructing. 
Terms such as 'artlang' and 'auxlang' are available for more
specificity (provided we recognize that historically there have been
auxlangs which were/are not conlangs, such as Assyrian, Aramaic, Koine
Greek, and to a large extent English today).
