In Esperanto groups, it's common to hear things like "We ought to do X!"
or "When are we going to do Y?" In every case, "we" actually means
"someone other than me." Sadly, Esperanto is lacking a first-person
self-exclusive plural pronoun... so I invented one. It's "uxi" ("u"
with an accent mark plus "i"). It is parallel to other Esperanto
pronouns (mi, vi, ni, li, sxi etc) and oddly enough it is pronounced
exactly like the English word "we".
And it's so useful. "Uxi devas trovi novajn membrojn!" (We have to
find new members!) I highly recommend it for all conlangs and natlangs
too.
