Avci to visit FYROM
Turkish Cypriot daily Sozcu newspaper (13.11.07) re****ts that the
self-styled minister of foreign affairs, Turgay Avci met yesterday with
Nikola Kljusev, former president of FYROM, who is visiting the occupied
areas of Cyprus in order to participate in the celebrations on the
occasion of the unilateral declaration of independence (UDI). Mr
Kljusev expressed the belief that the contacts between the two
countries will become closer and said that when he is in the occupied
areas of Cyprus he feels as if he is in his own state because of the
hospitality of the Turkish Cypriots. He added that they will always be
sup****ting the TRNC because of Turkey.
In his statements, Mr Avci said that his visit to FYROM is under
consideration, that until now he could not visit the above-mentioned
country because of his other program and that he will visit it as soon
as possible.
The occupied part of Nicosia has a twin town with FYROMs city of
Kumanova
Turkish Cypriot daily Bakis newspaper (13.11.07) re****ts that the
occupied part of Nicosia has become a twin town with FYROMs city of
Kumanova. The agreement was signed last weekend by Celal Cin,
vice-president of occupied Nicosias municipality and the mayor of
Kumanova Zoran Damjanovski during a visit of a Turkish Cypriot
delegation to FYROM.
