BAGHDATIS - LAS VEGAS
Cypriot tennis champion and 17th in world standings, Marcos Baghdatis
defeated US and 2004 titlist Vincent Spadea for the first round of Las
Vegas tournament, Tennis Channel Open.
Baghdatis, in his debut to the Nevada tournament, needed just 70
minutes, to overcome Spadea with 7-6(5), 6-1 win. The Cypriot will face
another American, Robby Ginepri, for a spot in the quarterfinals.
