Blue State mentality: "Your property belongs to the State"

by Bill Levinson <bill.levinson@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 18, 2005 at 03:58 PM

(Eminent domain abuse,
in which municipalities condemn property for PRIVATE use, e.g. to turn
it over to a big-box retailer.)

This exemplifies the typical mentality of Blue Counties-- note that the
eminent domain abusers are almost exclusively municipalities that, even
in Red States, voted Blue. Their mentality is that your property belongs
to the State, which is free to confiscate it for purposes not allowed by
the Constitution.

http://www.stentorian.com/politics/eminent.html#blacklist
shows that the
eminent domain abusers are indeed almost-exclusively Blue counties. As
an example, although Colorado voted for Bush, Denver voted for Kerry.
Detroit MI is almost exclusively Blue (Kerry country) and, although
Missouri went Red, St. Louis went Blue. And we all know what a
collectivist s**thole New Jersey is.

These are also the same places that tell you you are not allowed to own
firearms, even for self-protection (note that Massachusetts, New York,
and California are very prominent eminent domain abusers), and that also
feel your earned income is theirs (high state and local taxes).
