The harassment and abuse of physicist Hammond by

by now widely known. Most of this harassment comes
from anti-religious sources. Such harassment is nothing
new.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a portent Lutheran theologian
executed by the Nazi's in 1944 for involvement in the
bombing of Hilter by Count Von Stauffenberg. Many
heroic German Resistance figures were involved
including Gen. Rommel, Admiral Canaris, Gen. Oster,
Count Von. Stauffenberg, Field Marshal Erwin Witzleben
and hundreds of other high ranking members of German
society.
The Christian Church is widely criticized for not
openly opposing Hitler. However, most people realize that
there were no Christian protests for the same reason there
were no Jewish protests.... protests meant instant death.
However, Bonhoeffer realized that even though it meant
certain death, a prominent Christian had to do it, simply
for the historical record, and that's what he did.
He was finally imprisoned in 1943 for publicly criticizing
the Nazi's and denouncing anti-semitism from the pulpit and
in his writings. When Stauffenberg's bomb missed Hitler
the ensuing purge of the Resistance implicated Bonhoeffer
and he was executed by the Gestapo a few days before the
war ended.
Interestingly, Dietrich Bonhoeffer's older brother Karl
Friedrich, who later became a very famous physicist, told
Dietrich when he was 14 that the:
"church was weak, silly, irrelevant
and unworthy of any young man's
lifelong commitment"
a common view even today among scientists.
While in prison Bonhoeffer wrote his last words on
theology which were smuggled out and later published.
In these writings he refers to his dream of a "religionless
Christianity" which he described as being:
"free from.. metaphysical supernaturalism"
I am unable to find the original German text, and the
meaning of the term "religionless Christianity" has been
widely debated in the literature since his death. However,
I here will advance my OWN interpretation of what
Bonhoeffer meant by "religionless Christianity".... in my
opinion, in view of the recent developments... the term can
mean nothing other than a "scientifically proven
Christianity".... in other words... a Christianity based
on the discovery of a LITERAL SCIENTIFIC PROOF
OF GOD!
Well.... I'm here to announce that Bonhoeffer's last
words have been FULFILLED! Oh sure, the Bible
which is the historical record of the word of God will
remain forever, and the Church sacraments and
rituals will remain, and certainly the massive social
service organization who's purpose is to serve the public
will do nothing but continually increase in size .... but
underpinning the truth of it all now.... will be the known
existence of a universal scientific explanation and proof
of God. Because of this scientific proof, never again
will the existence of Religion be seriously challenged by
the secular world!
Dietrich Bonhoeffer was one of the bravest men in
modern history. He came from one of the finest, most
accomplished and most admirable families in Germany,
and voiced the sentiments of tens of millions of Germans
who were opposed to Hitler but who were powerless to
do anything about it.
Let us hope that Bonhoeffer's dream of a "scientific
foundation for Christianity" which will ecumenically unify
ALL of the world's religions, and which will eliminate the
threat of secular agnosticism, has now come to pass!
