According to the CRS the movement from efficiaent passenger vehicles to 
guzzling SUV's and and trucks alone has increased domestic gasoline 
consumption by nearly 5% The new cafe standard shold decrease demand by 
about 10% in total.

Imagine the effect an increasein supply of 10% would make  (I/m sorry, I 
know thinking hurts a _lot_).

Now compare this to McCain's plan --- eliminate the federal gas tax for 6 
months. This willl save about $2.75 on a $50 tank of gas!!!


Bush's solution??

Wait for the next president to do something.
