The author of the book is a Professor of International Law, and an
active QC. He has no need to "sensationalize' anything.

The article is telling us what claims are made by the book. the author
of the article can't quote Myers, because he didn't interview Myers.

You don't know what any of the above actually are, do you?
Do you realize that every single one of the above is forbidden under
the Geneva Convention, and that the UNITED STATES has overseen the
prosecution of other countries for doing such things?

We don't have any terrorists in custody.
Do you know how I know that?
Because terrorism is a crime, and no one in custody currently has been
tried and convicted for the crime of terrorism. You see, until someone
is presented with evidence, and is given due process, that person is
innocent. You know, that pesky phrase, "innocent until proven guilty"?
We used to believe in that, didn't we?
But I do think it is possible to NOT RELEASE a prisoner, and also NOT
ABUSE them at the same time. You create a false dichotomy with that
load of crap.

Let's see... do I believe a journalist, who is telling us what to
expect in an upcoming book, written by a law professor and QC -- a
book being published in Britain, by a British press, no less -- or do
I believe you, who is... say, what the hell are you, anyway?
I'll take the journalist and the lawyer, thanks.
BTW, you imply that the guy who wrote the book is lying. Do you know
anything about British libel and slander laws? If he's saying it, and
Myers isn't suing him, he's most likely not lying.
