So much for those who believe that violence against Olympic
torch-bearers is as effective as the Dalai Lama's intelligent
negotiations, which included explicit sup****t for the Beijing
Olympics!
Well done the rational moderates!
Sucks Boo to the violent fringe nutters! B^D
The Dalai Lama and I are well pleased with the outcome,
and Oz has shown the world how to manage conflict peacefully
while allowing dissent and the human rights of Aussie athletes!
Compare that to Ralph and Peter Webb's Liberal cronies dismal
performance on Tibet: In 2003 (see posts below) the Greens planned
to protest about Tibet to the visiting Chinese Premier, Hu,
but were prevented from doing so when Howard's party suspended
them from the Parliament for their earlier protest against
Bush's invasion of Iraq!!!
I have a long history of sup****ting VALID protests against
China's Tibet policy, and the Liberals have a record
of SILENCING those protests, even when they are peaceful and come
from ELECTED members of the Parliament!
Rudd has shown those gutless cowards how to STAND UP and show
some balls when dealing with China.. without damaging our national
Interest!
Those of us who have sup****ted the rights of the Tibetan people,
LONG BEFORE IT BECAME FA****ONABLE To BASH THE OLYMPICS IN A
PRETENSE OF DOING SOMETHING FOR TIBET, can be proud that the
path of non-violence will see a positive outcome, there is
a lesson here for the fools who sup****ted the Iraq invasion:
In 2003 I protested that ralph and Peter Webb's Liberals
stifled the planned Greens protest over Tibet:

# You have to laugh at the inept tories, yesterday
# the Liberal speaker banned Green interjectors from parliament
# for 24 hours for daring to protest Bush's bloody oil war
# in a manner less polite than a civilized letter.
#
# So today the Greens protest over Tibet was prevented
# as they were banned from the chamber. B^p
A classic example of how the tories STIFLED free speech and human
rights and thus prevented an appropriate political protest aimed
at the visiting Chinese leader, Hu!

# The paths of religion and politics frequently cross.
#
# Buddhist monks who self immolated in protest at the Vietnam War
# were a powerful response to political violence on a massive, evil
# scale. Some (far to few) Christians helping Jews escape the Nazis,
# Hindu India giving sanctuary to the Dalai Lama driven out of Tibet
# by godless Chinese Communists.... Christ overturning the tables
# of the money lenders... these are all examples of TRUE religion,
# standing up to and opposing greed, power and tyranny, often at
# great cost.

We should think about making Queensland Autonomous, whether they
want it or not. ;-) Just Kidding, we love the Banana Benders
and their penchant for electing re headed racists. ;-)

Perhaps Israel and Palestine should both be Autonomous regions within a
larger International state, with Jerusalem as it's capital.

Absolutely. The Social Darwinians always used to talk about survival
of the fittest as if Competition was the only social norm in nature..
but in fact every ecology exhibits very high levels of synergy and
co-operation.
