Crisis at HBCUs

I had absolutely no idea that HBCUs had such a low graduation rate.  I 
would have thought quite the opposite.  Does this square with any of 
your experiences?

I wonder if it's a financial thing mostly that is killing them.  Not in 
the macro sense (small endowment), but in the micro sense that their 
tuition is just too high for the students they're trying to attract. 
Anyway, it looks like we could be approaching the absolute end of the 
line for a lot of these HBCUs should the conditions in this article be 
accurate.

One more question.  Did you personally ever consider attending an HBCU? 
I'll have to confess that I never did.
