...it's good to know that we're not beyond redemption. I feel relieved.
But the system we have now is going to require more than a smack in the
face to set things right. There are really only two ways things get done
(or start the ball rolling) in this country on this sort of
scale...people have to die in unacceptable numbers or a really large
amount of money has to be spent/lost. Or maybe both...
