SCAAM participation has really ... and I mean really, really, really ...
dropped off over the past year or so. Perhaps, that has something to do
with
previous posters feeling alienated from whatever it is that you refer to
as
the point of view of most of the people here.
Even if what I believe in, and speak of, is 100% wrong, the beauty of
usenet
groups is that they offer such a fertile ground for all sorts of
viewpoints
to be heard and discussed. As long as it is done in a reasonably civil
manner, and the moderators here do a great job of enforcing that, then I
say
just let everybody Lift Up Their Voice and Sing. Some of us will be off
key,
some of us will be out of tune, but so what!
Black folks have such wide and varied points of view. Some of us think
white
folks are the devil. Some of us think black folks are the devil. Some of
us
just wanna get along. Some of us don't know what we want, other than that
whatever it is, it's gotta come with a big butt and a smile.
And, that's all good. All of our voices should be welcome here. SCAAM has
always ... from its birth and I was here then ... SCAAM has always had the
potential to be the perfect place for us all to be heard.
So, effen sum body's post annoys you, boy, do what me an Miss Janie will
lackly do tuh yose in da future... igggg-no em!
