Why the Alabama church fires are racially motivated

by "Istlota" <istlota@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 10, 2006 at 06:24 AM

I have been focusing on this story for a few days now because the
mainstream
media has been so evasive with certain relevant facts that should have
been
child's play to confirm.

Three young men have been arrested for setting fire to at least nine
churches in Alabama. There was also a 10th church that was set fire to,
but
the cops are backing away from the idea that it was related to the other
nine. The 10th arson was, of course, yet another black church.

I have seen pictures of two of the three arsonists. Both are white, which
is
no surprise. Brothers might rob a church, but burn it down? Nah, it is
the
rare Brothaman, even amongst the gangstas, who didn't have a big mama
somewhere along the way who put the fear of the Lawd's house in him as a
kid. Besides, White Folks are the ones with the long history of burning
churches down. They know our churches have historically been a meeting
place
for black folks to unite and strategize against our common enemy .. them.
Also, some spirit within them recognizes the God in us and it maddens
them.

Every re****t you will hear now on the mainstream media is stressing,
...no,
I should say begging you to believe ... that racism is not a factor. But,
I
did find one re****t that actually investigated whether racism was a
factor.
It is a NPR re****t from a month ago presented by Ed Gordon, the brother
who
used to do the BET news years ago:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5200226

The media and the cops are stressing that there was no racial motive
involved. They insist now that five of the churches were black and five
were
white. Notice their lying ways. On one hand, they want to pretend they
don't
know if the 10th church is part of the same pattern. But, then, when they
want to convince us that racism is not a factor, they go ahead and include
the 10th church. This was what first set off my "White Folks is lying"
radar. The numerical split is just too evenly divided. It was as if
someone
_intentionally_ planned to give the impression that this was not a hate
crime aimed at torching black churches.

Consider what I am saying and why. Hate crimes that involve arson carry a
federal mandatory minimum sentence of seven years, two for racial
intimidation and five for using fire in the commission of a felony. So, if
some barbaric group of hate filled white boys decide to burn down a string
of black churches, they had better also set fire to a few white churches
as
well. Because, otherwise, EACH incidence of arson adds at least seven
years
to their sentence. In the case of the Alabama churches, that would mean
these three hoodlums would be at retirement age by the time they got out
of
prison.

Now, before you take the typical ostrich-with-its-head-in-the-sand tack of
branding me as yet another paranoid black guy, you should be aware that
one
of the arsonists has already admitted to cops that they set fire to the
last
group of churches (four or five depending on whether you believe they did
the 10th church) to throw agents off track:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5253426&ft=1&f=1003

So, if we assume that the arsonists were aware of the stiffer sentencing
for
hate crimes involving arson, everything they have done makes perfect
sense:

1) Start out by setting fire to 4 or 5 white churches so that if you get
caught, no matter when you get caught, you have your alibi of not being
racially motivated.
2) From then on, focus on your real targets ... black churches.

The adjectives and phrases the media is using to described the arsonists
is
telling in and of itself:

"three college students who took a joke too far"
    "promising students from good families"
"amateur actors who were known as pranksters"

Why should the arsonists even bother hiring lawyers? They could save
themselves a lot of money by just having the local cops and a couple of
re****ters from AP to testify on their behalf. Clearly, the good White
Folks
in 'Bama have already decided that these "promising students" are not
going
to do the federally mandated seven years per church.

One final point. Whether you wish to believe this is racially motivated or
not, clearly it went beyond the level of a prank to a full-fledged
premeditated act of domestic terrorism once these barbarians decided to
burn
down 4 or 5 more churches for no other reason than to cover their tracks.
So, either they are not pranksters and are the worst of criminals, or they
are guilty of hate crimes and should do the full time mandated by the
feds.
Either way, they are not "promising students" from "good families" "who
took
a joke too far".
