which is what most Blacks in America live with. Why is it a
seemingly universal thought that if Obama becomes President he will be
assassinated?

Why is it that while having been brought up in mostly White society
(white mother and grandparents) he seen as being Black but not White?

Can you imagine the lifelong resentment that are programmed into many
Black people because despite every assurance, we are valued as second-
class citizens.

I know that despite all of my accomplishments in life, I am first
viewed as a black man and not as an American. Between my father,
sister and myself we have served over 60 years in the United States
military, have been willing to sacrifice our lives for our country.

Now, is it as bad as it was? Not even hardly, there has been
substantial progress made in the United States, but we've reached a
place where both sides are filled with resentment and anger.

I see Obama has being UNIQUELY qualified to bridge that difference.
And this is coming from someone who has voted Republican his entire
political life.

Racism should have no place in America.
