A nursing assistant is accused of stabbing her live-in boyfriend in the
neck and chest with a carving knife.
Amanda Robinson, 37, of Reading, is charged with felonious assault in the
April 9 incident at her home. She was arrested Tuesday.
According to court records, Robinson caused “significant injury” to
Franklin W. Ballard when she stabbed him with a black-handled carving
knife.
Robinson’s lawyer, though, said Ballard requested that his girlfriend not
be charged in the incident. Robinson has worked as a nursing assistant at
University Hospital for 18 years, her lawyer said.
She was ordered jailed on $15,000 bond.
