Saluda (WLTX) -- Saluda police say a 52-year-old mother and her
20-year-old
son have been arrested for selling cocaine, marijuana, and prescription
pills.
Officers arrested 52-year-old Deborah Hunter and 20-year-old Justin
hunter,
and they are being held at the Saluda County jail awaiting a bond hearing.
On May 16, officers with the Saluda Police Department executed a search
warrant at 202 Juniper Drive, where the suspects lived.
Officers say they made undercover purchases from the duo, and they were
able
to obtain a search warrant from that information.
During the search of the Hunter househould, officers say they found
cocaine,
marijuana, various scheduled pills, and weapons.
Interim Police Chief Charles Holloway said in a Friday news release, "This
mother and son were selling drugs in an apartment complex where children
play every day."
Holloway says his officers are working to stop the flow of illegal
activity
in that area.
