A squabble between a mother and daughter early Saturday got physical,
ending when the younger woman bit off the tip of her mother’s finger,
court records state.
Brandi Harris, 29, of East Price Hill, was arrested just after 3
a.m. Saturday and charged with domestic violence. Her mother, Vanessa
Charles, 47, also was arrested on a domestic violence charge.
Court records say the women were arguing in Charles’ Clifton home at about
2:30 a.m. Saturday.
The order of events isn’t clear, but at some point Charles allegedly
struck her daughter in the head with a statue and Harris allegedly punched
her mom in the left eye.
Harris “then bit off tip of finger on (Charles’) right hand,” according to
an affidavit.
A separate police re****t indicated it may have just been the woman’s
fingernail.
Charles posted bond and was released from the Hamilton County Jail
Saturday. Harris remained behind bars.
Both women were set to appear before a judge this afternoon.
