testing results led to the arrest Tuesday of a Hamilton County jail
inmate who’s now charged with raping a woman in 2003
Joseph Pettis, 35, of Over-the-Rhine, is accused of breaking into a
woman’s apartment in the 2300 block of Central Parkway on Aug. 3, 2003,
and forcing her to perform oral *** on him.
The woman did not know Pettis.
Pettis was arrested Tuesday afternoon at the jail and charged with rape
and aggravated burglary, records show.
A judge today set his bond at $500,000.
Pettis has been held at the jail on $50,000 bond after he pleaded guilty
earlier this month to February charges of attempted burglary and
possessing criminal tools in another case, records indicate.
