Iran's ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency
Ali-Asghar Soltanieh felicitated great achievements of Iranian
scientists in the field of peaceful nuclear technology.
He made the remarks speaking to IRNA on the occasion
of Iran National Day of Nuclear Achievements (April 8)
which marks the victory of the Iranian scientists in producing
uranium enriched 3.5 percent in Natanz facility (in central Iran)
two years ago.
In 2007, President Ahmadinejad announced the 20th day
of the first month of the Iranian calendar year (Farvardin)
which falls on April 8 this year, as the country's National
Nuclear Technology Day.
The achievement made by Iranian scientists in the field of
peaceful nuclear technology made the country self-sufficient
in production of fuel and Iran along with Brazil was recorded
as the 8th country possessing fuel cycle, thanks to the efforts
made by the young talented experts.
Soltanieh said that the achievements have raised Iran's status
at the international scene.
