Imposition of sanctions on Iran for its peaceful nuclear
activities had no effects on the progress of the country's
industries, Minister of Industries and Mines Ali-Akbar
Mehrabian said on Saturday.
He told reporters that the US, which pushed the
United Nations Security Council into adoption of
anti-Iran sanctions, was the main loser.
Mehrabian added that the value of Iran's currency,
rial, has increased compared to foreign exchanges.
The UN security council has so far imposed three sets
of sanctions on Iran under intensive pressures by the
US and its allies.
"The enemy resorted to various ways to stop the progress
of Iran's industries, however, the country has continued its
way forward stronger than ever," Mehrabian stressed.
