Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed
Ali Khamenei said here Wednesday that the Iranian people
will elect the most competent lawmakers in the second round
of Majlis election on April 25.
The Supreme Leader made the remark in a meeting with
exemplary workers and officials of the Ministry of Labor
and Social Affairs, adding that the nation will prove that its
motive will never come to an end.
Appreciating the role of workers in serving the country to
achieve independence and reputation, Ayatollah Khamenei
underlined the need for respecting workers, and noted that
the Iranian nation will have massive turnout in the second
round of the Majlis election just like the first round, held
on March 19.
The Iranian people neutralized the enemies' propaganda
campaign through their massive turnout in the election, the
Supreme Leader said, adding that they should also elect
the most competent and sympathetic candidates, who
would cooperate with the government, judiciary and other
bodies of the Islamic system.
The Supreme Leader underscored the necessity of preserving
unity among officials and people, noting that the enemies are
looking forward to minor differences among Iranian officials
to wage propaganda campaigns.
As the late Imam Khomeini repeatedly underlined the necessity
of unity and solidarity among people, everybody should refrain
from magnifying differences and disputes, Ayatollah Khamenei
said.
Thank God, Iranians are exercising vigilance and maintaining
their solidarity, the Supreme Leader said, noting that the nation
has attained political independence in the wake of victory of the
Islamic Revolution in Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei said however that independence can be
preserved by consolidating economic pillars of the Islamic
country through hard-working, production, innovation and
prosperity in various sectors.
The enemies have been frustrated at confronting the great nation
of Iran, thus, they have resorted to vain accusations and rhetoric
against Iran, he added.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the ninth government is working
hard to implement important and valuable projects and the
cabinet members are considered workers striving for prosperity
of the country.
