Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization said here Monday
Iran is a nuclear country today with broad nuclear and non-nuclear
potentials, at world nations' service.
Mohammad Aqazadeh who was speaking after a joint press
conference following his two-hour talks with Acting Secretary
of the Russian National Security Council, added, "We are a
nuclear country today and our nuclear activities are in various
fields thanks to capabilities that are already provided in Iran.
We are therefore, not a regular world country, since we are
now among the few countries that have such broad nuclear
potentials."
He added, "Iran also enjoys the great advantage that its activities
in the field of fuel cycle are quite indigenous and therefore, we
are needless of any type of dependence on any other country."
Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization reiterated, "With
entering the phase of putting to operation the new generation
of centrifuges we showed that this technological capability is
the fruit of Iranian mind, and that we have grown to achieve
a status where our nuclear program is non-negotiable, but a
deserved right of the Iranian nation."
He emphasized, "We do not negotiate over Iran's rights with anyone."
In response to a question whether Iran's package of proposals is
in any way related to the West's claims regarding Iran's nuclear
programs," he said, "Our proposed package has a very precise
framework."
He reiterated, "The general soul of that proposal is that we are
not a country to pose any threat against other countries, but one
that always stands by the side of the others."
Aqazadeh said, "Islamic Republic of Iran's potentials in the
region and the world, both in nuclear field and in political and
economic fields can facilitate problem solving in many cases."
He added, "Very precise frameworks have been defined in
Iran's package of proposals, that would in near future be
handed over to countries, and in it there are potentials for
other countries' cooperation."
Aqazadeh reiterated, "This is a very important step, since in
this package we have meanwhile corrected the Western thoughts
trend, by which I mean, we have made clear that the Islamic Republic
of Iran is not after getting concessions, or benefits. We are rather
a responsible country, ready to use its potentials for problem
solving for the others."
