Try also tell it to the poor old beggar woman who risked persecutions by
smuggling her prayer to Dalai Lama or his return through giving it to the
American visitor in Lhasa completely unknown to her. Why she was so
persistent in her hopeless efforts like many of Tibetans despite she was
not a former governing class member: neither a feudal gyalmo nor a lama? 
It really sounded to me (as a person brought up nn the atmosphere of
Polish
patriotism and love of liberty despite the Soviet occupation) like a
science fiction novel of "what would happen if the Russians made a 16th
republic of USSR from Poland". They also are until now in a delusion that
Poland is a part of Russia. "Kuritsa ne ptitsa, Pol'sha ne zagranitsa" ---
tells the Russian proverb --- "Chicken is not a bird, Poland is not
foreign". Doesn't it this obvious lie (and likewise lie of the Ottoman
Turk
Empire about Bulgaria in 1870s) remind enough the analogical Chinese
statements about Tibet?

Maybe Tibetan or another religion is a kind of infernal delusion, maybe
Tibetan, Polish, Bulgarian, American or another patriotism is a kind of
idiotism, but I wouldn't want neither you nor me to find on the place of
this poor old woman. In such a case Russian patriotism is the same
delusion
as Polish one and also Chinese patriotism can be the same delusion as
Tibetan patriotism.

No matter how evil and corrupt government Tibetans can have, my opinion is
that it would be better for them to have their own government for which
they would be responsible themselves than to have an occupational
government sup****ted by foreign army.

It will be the real end when the complicated karmic debts of humanity will
be balanced at least in a rough approximation. I don't think any of us can
live to see the arrival of Kalki Rudrachakrin or another culture hero from
the popular prophecies, so nor me nor you are capable in 100% to
understand
what is the best for the East, I think we can have another opinions on
this
matter and not be in paticularly bad relations. Like a quote of a hero in
the Russian movie White sun of the Desert, "Vostok eto ton'koe delo" ---
"The East is a delicate matter". It can refer to any so difficult matter
(not necessarily Eastern) that is no simple view which can exhaust its
complexity.
