'Zionists' Behind Anti-Islam Moves
BAGHDAD, March 26--A member of Iraqi parliament has condemned Western
offensives against Islam,
saying the blasphemous acts trace back to Zionist mercenaries in Europe.
Mohammad Al-Heidari told Alalam on Tuesday that enemies of Islam try to
spark serious conflicts
among Muslims.
"We also witnessed that they created some divisions between ****ites and
Sunnis in Iraq, but
their conspiracies have been thwarted due to the awareness of Iraqi
people."
He added: "Some Western countries have recently allowed provoking
anti-Islam measures in their
media, including printing blasphemous cartoon of Islam's revered Prophet
Mohammad (peace be
upon him) in Denmark, which could trigger wide protests in many
countries".
Muslim leaders have criticized the rising wave of "Islamophobia" in the
West and pledged to
combat the issue.
Heidari rejected the claims that Muslims in the world are at loggerheads,
adding enemies of
Islamic nations are trying to achieve their goals through radical groups
disguised as Islamic
representatives.
He said: "Western countries are worrying about the rising population of
Muslims in the world
and they are using all means to oppose the spread of Islam."
"Islamic nations should condemn the anti-Islamic insults in the West and
should grab this
op****tunities to express their solidarity and unity with each other," he
said.
