With nowhere to run the Tamil Tiger terrorists have had the affront to
approach Norway, no more a peace-broker than Machiavelli and Mata Hari
combined towards the interpretation ~ to pressure Sri Lanka's
government to stop a military offensive in the Island's North where
they are presently being decimated and battered by the Armed Forces.
Suddenly and most curiously the excuse seems to be that a venerated
Catholic Church was at risk and the terrorists seem to have either
become a spiritual group overnight or chosen this approach as their
latest ploy towards saving their hides which seems the more plausible
explanation.
They seem to have conveniently forgotten their own cowardly attacks!
the reals ones! on Madhu Church the Church under reference as well as
attacks on other places of religious wor****p where they showed neither
reservation nor respect to human life or venerated buildings as one
remembers the horrendous attacks on the Temple of the Tooth, the
Sacred Bo Tree, Muslim shrines with wor****ppers in them and Buddhist
Temples around the country but in their desperation now seem to be
clutching at any straw available towards their survival.
And whom have they picked towards mediating on their behalf towards
their preservation? none other than the two faced, onboxious and
shallow minded playboy who once enjoyed a blissful and serendipitous
vacation in Sri Lanka at the taxpayer's expense? none other than
Norway's International Development Minister, Erik Solheim, who was
also one of the chief mediators involved in the failed peace efforts,
to pressure Colombo to halt the offensive.
Someone who virtually scuttled off with no fanfair and the disdain of
the Sinhala Nation with his transparencies exposed as two faced and
pro LTTE con artist. Consequent to this it is not at all surprising
that the LTTE have once again reached out to him to be their saviour
although it should be of no consequence towards any change in
direction of Government policy to take out the LTTE once and for all
and perhaps it is this stark reality facing the Tigers that has
prompted them to supplicate themselves in front of Norway towards a
salvation they hardly deserve!
In the meantime Eric Solheim is re****tedly taking a refresher course
in how to pretend being a spiritually motivated person as preparation
towards meeting LTTE needs and demands but involving spirits of a
different variety rather than those associated with religious wor****p
where it might take great inebriation for him to muster courage to
ever step on Sri Lankan soil again perhaps at the risk of a figurative
lynching or a cricket bat to his head by those who truly know him for
what he represents! A worthlkess despot who nearly prompted the
Government of Sri lanka towards playing into the hands of the LTTE
terrorists! A truism at times averse to the vision and perception in
the eyes of a few myopic government sources amazingly who still seem
to have faith in his theatrics and souped up sanctimony which at times
even tends to fool some of the Buddhist hierarchy! Only in Sri Lanka
did someone say?
It even seems laughable that the LTTE entreaty to Norway and Solheimg
has been worded to the effect that"We would like to place a request
through you ... to the Norwegian government to take steps to
immediately end the military assault of the holy Madhu shrine," the
LTTE's political wing leader, B. Nadesan, wrote to Solheim where he
seems to have overlooked the fact that just weeks ago the terrorists
took shelter behind the sanctity of the venerated Madhu Shrine whilst
intimidating wor****ppers! Also deserving of honorable mention to this
scenario is the re****t that the In***bent Catholic Priests were in
collusion with them.
This can be construed on the simple basis that the most im****tant
artifact the church has been renowned for ~ namely the sacred statue
of the Blessed Virgin Mary has now been hijacked and spirited away
into the jungles of the Wanni and could this be an indication towards
the previous tongue in cheek reference that the terrorists have now
gone spiritual and need the Statue towards their own protection or is
it simply their playing into the mindset of their critics and those
who frown on them further, the dumbos they really are! This time
through their own ignorances and apathies as it is more than likely to
unleash a backlash of anger from all Catholics in Sri Lanka and around
the world once they realise what the terrorists are aiming at and the
bait being used towards misleading their audiences! The garnering of
world sympathies through falsifying the reality that the Government
was indeed protecting the Madhu Church and its Holy Statue before it
was "spirited ' away and that it was the Government resourcefulness
which motivated the terrorists to hijack it! Just yesterday the
terrorists have bombed the Madhu Church to make it look like a
Government led attack while also proclaiming it falsely to the world
through their news engines and spokespersons !
There is no doubt that Government forces backed by artillery are
pu****ng into territory held by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam
(LTTE) in the Wanni region, and the Roman Catholic church of Madhu is
indeed in the line of fire although great care has been taken to avoid
any destruction to the Church, its contents and in***bents with great
emphasis towards securing the most im****tant feature of the Shrine the
Statue of the Virgin Mary.
That it is now being held for ransom by the terrorists after first
using it as a screen towards their safety and are now using it as a
means to further perpetrate their lies and innuendo towards swaying
world and national opinion ****traying it is a Government orchestrated
incident is the furthest from the truth!They are also re****ted to have
attacked the church today with the intention of destroying it and
blaming the Government Forces for the attrocity
The church is located within Mannar district, which has seen heavy
fighting in recent months.Defence Ministry re****ts indicate security
forces having killed 14 rebels in fresh fighting recently.The number
of security personnel killed during the same period numbers 156,
according to the ministry re****ts and the latest casualties figures of
the official rebel death toll this year to 2,714.
Sri Lanka's military has denied engaging in operations in the Madhu
Church area or at least limiting it to a manner which minimises risk
to the Church.Government Security Forces have maintained however that
they want to push into the Wanni Region where the guerrillas claim to
maintain a de facto mini state also a concocted myth according to
analysts as the so called 'de facto state' was disrupted, laid waste
and made redundant some time ago in conjunction with those in the East
where the so called 'de facto state' can now only be imagined as the
dark recesses of the jungles and of course the locations of the
Prabhakaran bunkers which will soon be destroyed and their vermin
flushed out which is what the LTTE fuss is all about!.
