Because it's a total waste of money and oil and the empty bags end up
all over the place. And you are perpetually paying for the privilege.
I have done almost all the shopping for 4, for 25 years and it takes
about 1 plastic bag per person per day. 20 bags means you shop for
something between 20 daily and 3 once a week. Some only have time to
shop weekly, but it's a bad way to do it and eat properly. When you have
a ****load you get ahead of the till and can get another trolley and
fill it yourself - that would be 10 reusable bags for which you would
need 2 trolleys and someone has to get the stuff off the counter to
clear space before it's all rung through anyway. And 2 trolleys out to
the car - do you do all this on your own?
