Certificate, hajj licence of travel agency cancelled

The government has cancelled the certificate and hajj licence of a
travel agency and confiscated its security money for realising excess
money from hajj pilgrims and harassing them.
The Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry took the decision to punish M/
s Shad International Travels and Tours, Narayanganj, after an
investigation following specific allegations against it.
The travel agency has also been charged with providing low quality
foods and violating the Bangladesh Travel Agency Rules, said a handout
yesterday.
The Religious Affairs Ministry also cancelled the hajj licence and
confiscated the security money of the travel agency on the same
charges.
