A British headteacher who was shot dead in Somalia by Islamist insurgents
may have been targeted because he was a Christian convert, his wife said
yesterday.
Daud Hassan Ali, 64, was killed outside the Hiran community education
project English school in Beledweyne in central Somalia late on Sunday
night, along with Rehana Ahmed, 33, a fellow British Somali teacher. She
was
re****ted to have been shot in the head.

A Yemeni cleric claiming to cure HIV/AIDS patients claims to have been
threatened with assassination if he reveals the secrets of his
"invention."
The cleric said that if he dies, a good group of friends whom he trusts
will
continue to rescue the world from this fatal disease.
"Even if I get assassinated, the secrets will be with the group," Sheikh
Abdul Majeed al-Zandani told a gathering of doctors, journalists and
followers about curing through the words of Allah and the Prophet
Mohammed.

Islamic terrorists planned to bomb Australian rugby final

Sydney - Islamic terrorists planned to bomb the capacity crowd at
Australia's 2005 rugby final, a court in Melbourne was told Tuesday.
The revelations came during the testimony of Izzydeen Atik, a former
associate of 12 suspected terrorists who are on trial for planning attacks
in Australia.
Atik told the court that alleged ringleader Abdul Nacer Benbrika had told
him the 100,000-strong crowd at the 2005 cup final in Melbourne was the
initial target, but plans were changed two months before the game when
police raided the homes of group members.

The PST (Norwegian security service) thinks the Norwegian-Somali who's
been
arrested for financing terrorism had sent money to an extremist leaders
suspected of liquidating a 65-year old Italian nun in Somalia in 2006.
The
38 year old and the two other Norwegian-Somalis suspected by the PST of
giving economic sup****t to terrorism, deny sending money out of Norway for
financing terror acts.
