Is book presentation on International Dimensions of the Conflict in
Sri Lanka in New South Wales Parliament another attempt to mislead
Australians by Norwegian, Swiss and German NGO sup****ters ?

It has been scheduled to hold a book presentation on International
Dimensions of the Conflict in Sri Lanka at the New South Wales
Parliament on Tuesday 6th May 2008 by the Australian branch of the
Centre for Just Peace and Democracy ( CJPD).

According to John Gormley, Convener, the Centre for Just Peace and
Democracy (CJPD) is financially sup****ted by Norwegian, German and
Swiss Governments.

This publication by CJPD comprises papers presented at a seminar held
in Luzern Switzerland on 17th June 2007, to explore the international
dimensions of Sri Lankas five decades old conflict.

Authors includes the former US Ambassadors to Sri Lanka ,Ambassador
Jeffrey Lunstead , Professor Johan Galtung , founder of the
International Peace research Institute in Oslo , Professor Sumantra
Bose , Professor of International and Comparative politics at the
London School of Economics and author of Contested Lands (Harvard
University Press 2007).

Asian Tribune learnt that the proposed book presentation is a part of
international propaganda carried out by NGOs against Government of Sri
Lanka to mislead international community on the current armed
conflict. These NGOs are trying to convince the international
community that Government of Sri Lanka embarked on armed struggle
against Tamil people, although it has taken stern action to weaken
Tamil terrorists who are fighting against Sri Lankan armed forces and
civilians in the country.

Asian Tribune also learnt that Members of New South Whales Parliament
including Premier Morris Imma are being contacted by many Sri Lankan
community organizations and individuals to register their
dissatisfaction over using NSW parliament for any activities organized
by NGOs or individuals against Government of Sri Lanka and its people.
