That statement would probably be considered sarcastic coming from anyone
else, but is so serious coming from a UK government official.
I also want to know why British people (especially the English) are so
uncivilized that they require such thorough surveillance and why all
the spying and gun control still hasn't made Britain safe. I live in
the San Francisco Bay Area and that city has hardly any public
surveillance and it is far safer than London. It's slightly grimier
than Singa****e but at least it is a free city where you can smoke pot
in public without being caned and speak your mind without being locked
up for offending someone. I can't recall the last time I saw the city's
s****ts fans riot over the local team's win or loss, and out riots should
be even deadlier considering we're all armed.
