Your comment is an argument for likely INCREASES in the price of oil.
The reason: it takes way more than a gallon of real oil to produce a
gallon of ethanol, therefore the more ethanol produced, the more real
oil consumed, thus an increase in the price of oil.
The corn farmer lobbyists are ripping us off, laughing their way to
the bank.
Some ignorant American bigots believe by choosing pumps with 10%
ethanol, they're contributing less money to "the terrorists". In
reality, they're giving even MORE money to the "terrorists".
If they purchase 15 gallons of 10% ethanol, and it takes 1.5 gallons
of real oil to produce a gallon of ethanol, they're purchasing:
13.5 gallons of real oil.
1.5 gallons of ethanol =3D 2.25 gallons of real oil.
Total: 15.75 gallons of real oil, .75 gallons more than if they bought
100% real oil (100% real oil is not possible in some Midwestern
states, where the parasitic corn farmers have forced ALL gas stations
to mix ethanol (which is terrible for most engines and it gets worse
mileage) in with the real gasoline.

They've made this Chicken Little claim (about the USA) every year for
the past 5+ years. It's never been $4 except in isolated areas for
short periods of time. The average has never been near $4, though it
should. The ideal price of gas should be at least $7 per gallon.
