Five terrorists killed in confrontation - Mannar
Security forces launched a fresh attack targeting LTTE bunker defences
in general area Pallekkuli, Mannar last morning, March 2. Ground troops
confirmed three terror bunkers were destroyed and at least four
terrorists were killed in this attack. LTTE transmission also confirmed
the losses, defence sources said. One soldier also sustained injuries
during the clash.
Meanwhile, army snipers deployed in general area Parankamam gunned down
an LTTE terrorists ahead of defence line last morning. The shooting
incident took place around 9.10 a.m., defence sources in Mannar said.
