NEW YORK - Gov. Eliot Spitzer has told senior advisers that he had been
involved in a prostitution ring, the New York Times re****ted Monday.
Spitzer was scheduled to make an announcement Monday afternoon.
Spitzer officials wouldn't immediately comment on the story.
Spitzer is a first-term Democrat and former state attorney general. He is
married with three children.
Federal prosecutors last week arrested four people in connection with an
expensive prostitution operation, the Times re****ted.
A person with knowledge of the case told the Times that the governor is
one
of the men identified as clients in court papers.
