Two suicide bombers create Iraq chaos

A double suicide attack in the city of Balad Rus, northeast of
Baghdad, has left 31 dead and more than 60 injured.
The first suicide bomber blew himself up in a busy market while the
second exploded his bomb in the middle of the chaos as relief workers and
bystanders ran to help the victims.
Balad Rus lies in the province of Diyala, long considered a haven
for
al-Qaeda sup****ters.
Meanwhile, in the US, thousands of dockworkers in harbours along the
west coast have stopped work in protest at the war in Iraq.
The strike, organised by the dockworkers' union, for Labour Day, May
1st, has affected dozens of container ****ps.
The harbour owners claim the strikes really represent an attempt by
the unions to mobilise their members during the annual contract
negotiations
that will begin in two months.
