Suicide bomber was former Guantanamo prisoner

The US has identified a man who carried out a suicide attack in the
northern Iraqi city of Mosul as a former detainee at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The US military has revealed the man, Abdallah Salih al-Ajmi, who
was
born in Kuwait, was formerly held in the military prison.
A military spokesman said al-Ajmi returned to Kuwait after being
released from Guantanamo, but later traveled to Iraq via Syria.
The spokesman said al-Ajmi's family had been shocked to hear their
son
had become a bomber and were at a loss to know why he was motivated to do
so.
No other cases of former Guantanamo detainees carrying out attacks
have been reported.
