Zhivko, this "discovery" has been published in Bulgaria long ago.
As a matter of fact when I replied I used the Bulgarian publication of the

text in
Вера Мутафчиева (прев. и ред), Бертрандон
де ла Брокиер, Задморско 
Пътешествие, София 1971, страница 97.
The same text has been reprinted in "Христоматия по
История на България", 
том 3, Издателство Наука и Изкуство,
София 1982, с. 8. that is a school 
textbook in Bulgaria hence it is hardly a secret.
