Until July 2005, SPDC was represented in PARIS by rather educated
ambassadors, from U Nyunt Tin to U Wunna Maung Lwin, including a too
short stay of U Linn Myaing.
These ambassadors had the behavior that everyone was expecting, having
good relations with the local authorities (they could speak English
quite well), while being fair with their embassy staff.
Saw Hla Min the current ambassador, is giving a more accurate image of
the government he is representing: he doesn't like to meet people, and
moreover, he is cheating even his own ministry.
It is known that this man makes a very positive impression on his
hierarchy, but they should know that this is all based on forgery, at
all levels.
Firstly, being very poor in English (why does MOFA send ambassadors
that cannot speak English fluently ?), he is unable to produce any
do***ent in this language, and is very reluctant to meeting even the
local authorities.
But the worst is his cheating regularly on the embassy expenses,
producing forged re****ts.
Recently, one driver resigned, because several times the ambassador
preferred to pay his son to drive the head of mission car, while the
name of this driver was mentioned to claim the overtime money.
Every year, only the Independence day is celebrated, but he gives
instructions to his staff to produce expense notes in order to claim
money for dummy expenses.
It is not to say that this money is never refund to the embassy (where
can it go? Do you want me to be more precise?).
The list of what has to be called robberies can be extended, and those
who want to check may proceed...........
