It's very embarrassing to tell the world that one makes a wrong
decision by choosing a backward ideology. But Russia had done some 20
years ago. It's time for Vietnam to follow those old comrades who had
come to discover the empty promise of communism and decided to embark
on the road to democracy.
One thing people need to know that dictator****p, any kind of
dictator****p is not for the benefits of the people. It's only for one
man or one group of people. When a nation has a lot of people, they
will have plenty of ideas. This is the beauty of democracy. People
become the fundamental backbone of nation, communities and regions of
the world. The respect of the individual is much more advantageous
than the control of the state.
Currently, there are still in the world 4 nations which are still
clinging on to communism: Cuba, North Korea, China and Vietnam.
Because Vietnam is part of Asean, it would tremendously help the
community to move forward in terms of social, economic and diplomatic
relations with the world if Vietnam makes the decision to become
democratic on a gradual manner.
It's not easy to control capitalism. The only way to work with
capitalism is knowledge and as such, the Asean community would be able
to negotiate among themselves, reduce barriers and move on to become a
vibrant and progressive community in the world.
The Asean needs to make the decision. But it would help a lot if
individual nation within the community speed up the democratic process
on its own.
