Politics is a full time job. Reputation is a very im****tant asset.
Ranariddh allows Hun Sen to take advantage of his personal situation
by not being able to resolve his family situation. Relation****p with
constituency is also another im****tant factor that demands time,
attention and understanding. Funcinpec requires a lot of work of
reparation because it had been destroyed by CPP, its own ineptitude
and the culture of collaboration itself because collaboration is a
discipline. Funcinpec looks at collaboration as a theoretical
assumption that does not require larger framing of ethical, cultural
and intellectual inputs. The prince did not see what was coming at
him.
Creating a new party may be good for him and his own ego. From my
point of view, he does not have the human resources to back it up. It
would take 5 to 10 years to build a party. He does not have that kind
of luxury. Being a good speaker at the National Assembly requires
followers, not just name. So, from my point of view, going back to
Funcinpec is a better strategy for the Prince and also for Funcinpec.
In that kind of work to reconcile point of views, perspectives and
petty personals, mutual respect must be exercised at all time. To
leave Funcinpec, Ranariddh would loose all his works for the last 25
years and all the historicals that go along with them.
But this is only my idea. The Prince is free to do whatever he thinks
what fits.
