On a compilation album I borrowed many years ago there was a piece
labeled "Carnival" by the Mighty Duke. It was played by a steel band
with no singing, and the melody (one of many) went something like this
(in the key of C, with eighth notes as letters and eighth note rests
as dashes):

Does anyone recognize this or know where to get the recording?
