I don't really know why the young people in Tibet rioted.
But I am not sure they really need good reasons.

I had watched the short video clip provided by the Chinese media
several times in which several guys destroyed one store fronts
after another. My gut feeling is that they were having fun. They
were not looting. They just did that as if it were a game. You
overran the enemy and then you raze their facilities.

However, this recent series of protests were externally driven.
For the "tibetans-in-exile" as wekk as their sup****ters, Tibetan
independency is based on the following.

1. Tibet is for ethnic tibetans only because it was so in the past.
2. China had committed genocide against the tibetans.
3. Tibetans are a spiritual people and superior hence they and their
culture should not contaminated by the Hen Chinese. The fact that
the DL is honored whereeever he goes reinforces the tibetans'
sense of racial superiority.
4. Many westerners still have a cold war mentally.
