No doubt it's true that someone was beat up by the crowd. That's bad.
But the bigger picture is why are so many Tibetans upset? Is it, as
people here would have us believe, all due to outside agitation by the
CIA or whatever? Do we blame it all on outsiders and never (God
forbid) suggest that maybe the Tibetans do have something to complain
about? What's going on? The PRC keeps a tight lid on re****ts from
Tibet so it's hard to know. I don't know for sure, and neither does
anyone else on this NG, despite what they say.
