The real facts of im****tance are the history of brutality of the
Communist regime.
The Great Leap Forward, when Mao condemned millions of Chinese to
starvation to cement his power.
The Cultural Revolution, the horrific reign of terror designed to
stifle all independent thought in China and terrorize its people.
The brutal murderous crackdown in Tienanmen Square in 1989.
Those are the facts of im****tance. Another im****tant fact is that
Taiwan is a place where Chinese people are free to speak their minds,
to read world newspapers, to travel abroad. The People's Republic of
China keeps threatening Taiwan with military force.
So why would any historical Chinese claim to Tibet be an im****tant
enough fact to excuse or justify Chinese rule over Tibet?
Why would we want China to have access to the mineral wealth of Tibet,
when it misuses part of it to build up a terrifying military arsenal?
