THE NON-PERMANENT SEAT AT THE SECURITY COUNCIL IS A MONKEY ON THE
VIETKONG 's BACK.
El Chino had said that before, 3 years ago when the VC was lobbying
many countries that it can lay hand on to sup****t its candidacy to the
Non Permanent seat of the Security Council.
What El Chino said then is as valid now as it was then.
The Security Council only purpose in life is to issue sanction against
one or more of its members whose actions were judged by the Security
Council as detrimental to World Peace, i.e., to the superpowers.
There were two, the USA and the USSR, but then , for awhile there was
only one, i.e., the USA, the only Suoerpower. Unfortunately thisdid
not last becausesoon there were one and half. THE USA and China but
for Vietnam there are still two or even two and half. The USA
accounting for a weight of one and China for a weight of one and
half . Just like in Gravity law by Newton, the attraction of two
heavenly bodies or two elemental particles is pro****tional to the
product of their m***** and inversely pro****tional to the square of
their distance. The mass, i.e., military and economical power of the
USA is about 10 times that of China but the distance between Hanoi and
Beijing is only 1/4 or 1/5 of that between Hanoi and Wa****ngton DC.
So one cannot expect Hanoi to vote against China in conflicts
involving Taiwan and Tibet. North Korea and Darfur area different
matters but Hanoi might vote "present" instead of being for or
against which would antagonize either China or the West. So in
matters concerning China except for its illegal claim for the
Paracelses and the Spratly, one can not expect the VC to vote their
conscience.
It should be noted that Russia is no longer of paramount im****tance to
the VC because the later voted against the desire of its former
friend, Russia in matter related to Kosovo.
In matters concerning human rights and freedom of religion one cannot
expect Hanoi to condemn wholeheartedly the fascist regime in Myanmar
for their repression of the Buddhist rebellion and the imprisonment of
Aungsang SuKy , the Nobel Prize winnerand de facto the legitimate head
of government due to her victory in the last free election . This is
because there is a common interest for the VC and the militarist in
staying in power without a free election against religious or .human
rights opposition.
El Chino is raking his brain without finding an international event
that elicits a vote by the VC which would enhance the prestige of the
latter and of Vietnam.
For this reason, El Chino believes that the provisional seat on the
Security Council is only a monkey on the VC's back
