And, from Jesus to Christ ....
This overarching, transcendental theme of humanity, regardless of
time, culture, race, gender and social status, will, undoubtedly,
be pondered, deliberated and perpended all over the Christiandom.
To those non-believers who feel a deep sense of kin****p to all of
humanity, like this humble netter, the metaphorical significance,
of that recurring religious motif must not be lost.
This is Shakespearean: that all humans have redemptive qualities.
But, it takes super human efforts to achieve transcendence, or in
the parlance of religions, resurrection. Today, the Very Reverent
Ms. Tracey Lind, dean of Cleveland's Trinity Episcopal Cathedral,
preached about the story of Mary Magadelene, who went to the tomb
of Jesus. She was met by an angel who rolled away the stone before
the cave to reveal that Christ had risen from the dead.
Ms. Lind talked at length about the metaphorical stones that were
blocking our way to our better angel. Removing them, one by one,
would take a great deal of efforts and unending struggles. But we
must all confront the stones in our lives head on, and to try our
best to remove them.
For they are roadblocks to our own resurrections ....
