I think that America should have gone to the rescue of Chinese people
in Indonesia or Malaysia facing discrimination. Muslims who push
Chinese around today will think they are good enough to fly airplanes
into American buildings tomorrow.
It is not "internal politics" to mistreat any innocent individual, the
country that engages in that or tolerates that is doing something that
is everybody's business.
China, though, happens to have a cruel, despotic regime running it, so
if it took over Indonesia, no one there would be better off. Expansion
by China would menace the world, so of course the United States would
react to that.
