So what? Pre war Germany and Japan also had skyrocketing
economies. And what happened to them, and why?
It's because of the fact they were dictator****ps, which are not
only steeped in ruinous corruption, but can't adapt to change
fast enough. Generally reacting to change/dissent in just the wrong way
by becoming even more repressive. Setting off the inevitable
viscous cycle to ever greater internal conflict and disaster.

In this case, the Chinese bubble is about to burst. And it'll be
a beauty when it happens. The rate of growth is just too high, as
is the level of corruption and economic disparity. China will
likely go the route of the former Soviet Union.

The post-Olympic disillusionment is bound to be intense.

Bull. Their illegal and immoral form of govt creates a far
greater likelihood of a future with a new era of wasteful
cold war-like military competition. Full of proxy battles
and other cold war injustices. If not a full blown war
over Taiwan or over resources.  If someone's illegal actions
harm me I have a right to complain and insist the
illegal actions stop.

Democracies have every right to intervene with a dictator****p
for example ...Iraq.

Not everywhere at once, let's be practical about it
....the worst...first.

Once China falls to democracy, so will most others in time.

Without the overlapping checks and balances of a democratic govt
and a well regulated economic system, China will never catch up
with the west. It'll only get teasingly close for a bit, then collapse
ala the Soviet Union. Or burst into flames ala Germany and Japan.

Face it, to catch is, China has to become just like us.
Until they become democratic, their economic system
will face ever growing corruption and disparity
that has only one future.

China is becoming the largest 'house of cards' the world
has ever seen. Think 1929 ...times a hundred.

Why is this a bad thing???

The American people have spoken over and over again.
