LOS ANGELES - Federal officials say two men are under arrest in Los
Angeles for trying to take infrared cameras with potential military
use to China without a license.
Commerce Department official Rick Weir says the men were stopped early

International Air****t.
He says the men had 10 sensitive thermal imaging cameras in their
luggage.
Weir says the cameras have both commercial and military use and cannot
be ex****ted without special licenses. He says the cameras are valued
at about $5,000 each.
One of the men is described as a Chinese citizen and the other as a
naturalized U.S. citizen.
